Attila Richter
Legend has it that he was born with a tennis ball in one of Johannesburg’s hospitals. Aged 28 he has by now tried his hand at almost everything from writing EU grant applications through to international trade, the world of finance and club management. One of his nicknames is Gibbon due to his legwork on court, which is unbelievable even for those who see it. He has been married for five years. He usually forgets to eat during the day but when he gets down to it he can eat for three people. He is a native speaker of Hungarian, English and German, but he can make himself understood in a number of other languages as well. Attila started playing tennis at the age of nine. After nine years of international tennis coaching experience his professionalism is known and acknowledged across Europe. Sometimes he is organizing so many things at the same time that we worry about him falling into thousands of little bits, but the next morning I always find him in one piece. He has realized that every coach, if he does his work well, is outgrown by his players sooner or later.
This is the reason, why he gave his most talented ones into the hands of some of the best coaches to see them through to the top, allowing him to concentrate on the management of the players. On the other hand, he is still very careful that they do not beat him on court. The young talents are more important to him than anything else. His dream is to attend the final at Wimbledon one day when one of his protégées is playing. I truly wish him that day! We have become good friends – two guys with a common dream and with the same obsession for sports.
Gábor Hárs
He always had the dream of becoming a professional tennis player but somehow it just did not happen. Then we met and Gábor joined me in my dream: if we have not become Wimbledon champions ourselves we should try and help others to do so.
He is 33 years old, he has been working since he was 18 and he has been playing tennis for 23 years. Gábor is a real sports fanatic: he simply loves sports, no matter what kind. He speaks excellent English and French. When he joined Nike in 1999 he at last became part of the real world of SPORT. He spent nearly five years with the company and left them as sales director, only to join Converse as managing director. Tennis still plays an important role in Gábor’s life, so much so that we play in the same team.
It was about two years ago when I had the idea to join forces with him in my undertaking. Our conversation took less than half a minute. “Do you know why I thought of you?”. I asked. “I know.”, he replied. And that was it. Gábor’s business expertise has given a tremendous boost to our activities, allowing us to be even more professional in the management of the young talents entrusted to us.
So much should be enough about us. If you would like to get to know us, just send an e-mail or simply call us and maybe we can get together for a chat.
With best wishes from the
